Bowl A Ferret [Submitted by Amy] - Ingredients: A ferret, you, and a hard floor. Directions: Crouch down to the close to the floor with your ferret in your hands. Swing the ferret back a bit, exactly the way you would with a bowling ball. Then shoot it forward way across the floor. You can either slide them on their tummies or backs, depending which the ferret seems to prefer. The reactions amongst ferrets I've found is mixed. My Grover is never impressed by it that much, but my other boy Chopper loves it! As soon as he's done his slide, he jumps up, does a weasel dance in the extreme, and dooks excitedly!

Plasticbag Party [Submitted by Amy] - Ingredients: One or more ferrets(the more there are, the crazier it gets), you,a big cardboard box, and finally lots of plastic bags. Make sure you cut the handles off the bags ahead of time to avoid them getting looped around the ferret. I can't tell you how many times I've had to run after a ferret obliviously galloping along with a bag handle around it's neck or waist, trailing the bag beside them before it dawned on me to do this. Directions: Put all the plasticbags inside the box and now put the ferret(s) in and watch the fun! They'll tumble around, burrow, and attack the bags. If there is two or more of them, it gets even better since they also start attacking each other. They love the sound the bags make and you can experiment with different materials to see what they like.Just make sure you supervise them carefully with this game in case a ferret gets a bag stuck on his face and can't breathe.

TRICKS
Hind Legs - Ingredients: You, a ferret, and the ferrets favorite treat. Directions: Let the ferrets nose follow the treat until the ferret is on his hind legs. Give the ferret the treat while he is still on his hind legs, not when he has already come down to all fours.

Roll Over - Ingredients: You, a ferret, and the ferrets favorite treat. Directions: Let the ferret follow the treat in a circuler motion until the ferret has completed one revolution and has rolled over. If your ferret doesn't follow the treat around, assist him by rolling him over yourself until he understands.
